The adventure pool in Rathewalde is a great family pool in the upper part of the romantic Grüntal. The visit can easily be combined with a trip to the Bastei, which is only five kilometers away. If you want, you can combine both with a hike. That sounds like a successful vacation day!

The well-kept bathing complex in Rathewalde offers a wide range of options for the whole family. A paddling pool and a non-swimmer area are available for younger guests. There is a quiet changing room and a playground . The open area allows parents like lifeguards always an unrestricted view of the little heroes. Active swimmers have enough water to exercise and refresh. Water games and a large slide ensure pure bathing fun. If you don’t just want to relax on land, you can get active on the volleyball net or in open air chess . All hungry and thirsty people are sure to find something delicious at the snack bar .

We ask for your understanding that in the event of particularly bad weather conditions or technical failures, the swimming master is entitled to close the pool deviating from the normal opening times mentioned above. Depending on the weather and demand, we reserve the right to end the season earlier for economic reasons.

The Stadtbad Hohnstein is located below the Napoleonschanze at the entrance to Hohnstein on the road to Bad Schandau. The pool is in the countryside and is only a ten-minute walk from the central “Eiche” car park. The lawn offers plenty of natural shady spots , but there are also plenty of spots for sun worshipers . Our tip: After a strenuous hike or bike ride, a visit to the outdoor pool will be wonderfully refreshing .

The facility offers a modern stainless steel basin , around which the sunbathing areas are connected like a terrace. The Stadtbad is also called “ the sporty “. The 20 x 10 meter swimmer pool with a depth of 1.80 meters is well suited for active swimmers. The non-swimmer area is connected to the swimmer pool. There is a separate children’s area with a paddling pool for the little ones. The water features and the large slide are always particularly popular. On firm ground, you can continue playing on the volleyball net and open air chess . The takeaway has delicious food and drinks ready.

The Goßdorf outdoor pool is located on the southern slope of the Gickelsberg. A visit to the natural pool promises a special pleasure. Here you can bathe in a sandstone pool , which was built in 1968 and still exists today. Bathing in the sandstone – the Goßdorf outdoor pool is simply cult. Experience an extraordinary family bathing day in the middle of the beautiful landscape of Saxon Switzerland.

The sandstone pool offers a swimmer and a non-swimmer area with a slide for the little ones. On the spacious lawn you can enjoy your stay under shady trees or in the sun. A playground or the table tennis and the volleyball court are available for activities on land. The natural pool is managed and maintained by over 100 members of the Freibad Goßdorf e.V. . The entire facility also includes the parking lot and the sanitary area. Chemical additives are used for water quality. If required, there is a takeaway with a delicious selection in the terrace area.

Currently there are no entrance fees charged. The Association finances the Goßdorf open-air swimming pool from membership fees and donations. The parking fees are used to cover the running costs. Every grant and every help serves to maintain the plant. With your visit and your donation you directly support this unique natural pool.
